Key West Bachelorette Party
I have some great advice for anyone going to a Key West Bachelorette Party. Our group stayed at La Concha which is right on Duval Street. Duval street is the perfect location to stay since it is in the middle of where all the bars are. The best thing to do is take a stroll on Duval and you will find many interesting places to go. Below are some of my recommendations for a Key West Bachelorette Party. There are a few local spots that I suggest as well as the main tourist spots.
Day 1
Ahh yes, the first day. The first day is always the most exciting when you meet your friends on vacation. Going on trips with your friends makes you closer than going out around home. You learn new things about each other and bond in different ways. It also makes you learn new things about yourself. Here are the spots we went to on day one in Key West:
1. Caroline’s Other Side

This is a locals spot on Caroline Street. There is really cool art on the wall, as well as funky mounted animals. I suggest stopping here before you go to the more touristy spots on Duval street. They have amazing and creative cocktails that you will not find anywhere else in Key West.
2. 2 Cents Restaurant & Bar
I always come to this restaurant when I am in the Keys. There is a really great atmosphere, the staff is friendly, and the food is amazing. They have some of the most unique food on the island. A lot of the restaurants in the Keys are touristy and have similar menus. Some of my favorite items are the Kale Salad, Shishito Peppers, and Duck Nachos.
3. Fat Tuesday
Fat Tuesday has great music and is an open air bar. Just a warning, in the summertime this place gets very hot! It is the perfect spot to go to for Bachelorette parties though. There are tons of bachelor and bachelorette parties that come here. The main reason is the drinks are strong and the music is loud. There is a great dance party going on here. The above photo is my flip flop that broke on the dance floor! Everyone was dancing around it and having a great time. The walk home with one shoe was not so much fun though.
Day 2
After a wild night before everyone was pretty hungover. There are a few good brunch spots to go to, but Sarabeths or Blue Heaven are the best. Below is the itinerary for day 2.
-
Sarabeths
You must go to Sarabeths. It is more of a local spot just off Duval Street on Simonton Street. Their breakfast is amazing and I highly recommend getting the Ricotta Pancakes or Omelette with goat cheese. They usually get pretty packed, so make sure to go around 9am if possible.
2. Sloppy Joes
You can’t go to Key West without stopping at this favorite spot. At nearly the end of Duval Street is Sloppy Joes. People go more for the atmosphere and drinking than the food. They usually have a live band everyday as well. The place gets pretty packed, but the wait for a table usually isn’t long since people go in and out a lot. If you do eat, I recommend the fish dip.
3. Irish Kevins
This is a must go to spot for a Key West Bachelorette Party. It is basically an Irish Bar with a guy singing on stage. If you have shirts made that show you are there for a bachelorette event they will definitely call for the bride to be to get on stage. If not they will periodically ask and you will get the opportunity to embarrass your friend then. They pretty much have someone come on stage and do some kind of act, and then at the end make them take a shot. It was probably one of the most hilarious events of the weekend.
4. Garden of Eden
This is another spot you need to check out for a Key West Bachelorette party. It is a clothing optional bar, but that does not mean you have to take your clothes off. We picked up some unicorn heads at one of the shops on Duval Street and went up there. I was able to sneak this shot of my friends, but cell phone use is absolutely prohibited. They will take your phone away from you. We went on a slow day, and only saw a few people without clothing. Usually this place gets packed. It is at the top of the bull and whistle bar. The entrance is on the south west side of the building.
Day 3
By day three I swore I was never drinking again. We were having so much fun at this point, and since it was the last day, we wanted to make it count.
-
Blue Heaven
Aside from Sarabeths, Blue Heaven is my other favorite brunch spot in Key West. It is located off Duval street on Thomas Street. They are know for their Eggs Benedict. I was being healthy that day (after all the drinking) so I went with the vegetable option, but they are most famous for the Lobster Benedict. The mimosas were pretty good as well.
2. Dante’s
This is a great spot in Key West to hang out. It is a bar with a huge pool. We saved this place for the last full day since we knew we would spend all day there. Besides drinking and hanging out by the pool, they actually have a pretty good food menu. Make sure to bring your own towels to this one.
