DIY Flight Amenity Kit
Want to make a DIY Flight Amenity Kit at home that is better than the amenities you will get for an expensive ticket to sit in First Class? I promise the amenities below are just as good, if not better. I didn’t include a pillow or blanket since these are given free on most long haul flights. If you didn’t see something you thought should be included in the DIY Flight Amenity Kit please include it in the comments at the end of the article.
Depending on how crafty you want to get with this and how much cash you want to spend, you can either buy a cute little bag for your DIY Flight Amenity Kit, or go the economical route and put everything in a freezer ziplock bag.
This is a total necessity since you do not know when the lights will be off for when you want to sleep. It is no fun to be on a red eye flight sometimes when you want to sleep since they don’t turn out the lights until the cabin service is complete. My favorite is the tempurpedic eye mask shown first, but there are also good options that are more economical.
You never know if there will be a crying baby behind you, or if you will be seated next to the lavatory and have to hear the door opening and closing. Definitely make sure to purchase ear plugs that can be stored in a case. This will allow them to be germ free and will make sure you do not lose them somewhere.
This is a great beauty hack to look refreshed when you step off the airplane. The air on airplanes is so dry and can really take a toll on your skin. I always put one of these on an hour before landing and they make your skin look like night and day. I really like the bliss eye mask and Skyn eye mask!
Not only are these socks infused with aloe to nourish your skin, they are also comfortable as hell. I loved these so much that I wanted to wear them with my sneakers when I stepped off the plane. I do not recommend doing that though because the aloe will take on the colors of your shoe. Luckily I bought the two pack below.
The DIY Flight Kit should definitely have hand moisturizer, face wash, and face cream. Shampoo and conditioner could be added in case you want to shower in one of the airport lounges, but they usually have toiletries available to you. If you prefer skin cleansing wipes that could be an option depending on how much room you have left. Also, make sure to not forget lip balm! You do not want to step off the plane with cracked lips.
